A Year Dedicated to Enhancing ShortPoint's User Experience and Performance

2024 has been an incredible journey of growth and innovation for us! We've focused our efforts on making your experience with Live Mode smoother and more enjoyable. By listening to your feedback and addressing pain points, we've rolled out several game-changing updates throughout the year. Let's dive into our two major releases and highlight some exciting minor ones that made waves this year.

ShortPoint User Experience and Performance Enhancements

Building on the success of Live Mode's public release last year, we've been hard at work making it even better for you! In Q2 2024, we rolled out some fantastic improvements to the Live Mode editing interface. We're thrilled to share that these updates have significantly boosted performance, making your design experience smoother and more seamless than ever.

The update featured a streamlined migration process from the legacy page builder to Live Mode. Based on customer feedback, we've significantly improved the transition to the new editing experience. We also resolved several Design Element and Theme Builder issues.

The introduction of ShortPoint Shortcuts made accessing the Dashboard and Theme Builder more straightforward. These two buttons, located in the SharePoint command bar for ShortPoint Designers, provide quick access to manage updates, features, and advanced functionality.

As the year drew to a close, we released a minor update focused on performance improvements. These enhancements successfully eliminated slowdowns during page editing and saving operations.

Text Editing and Inline Elements Improvements in Live Mode

We know text editing hasn't always been the smoothest experience in ShortPoint, so we rolled up our sleeves and got to work! Our team has completely revamped the text editing experience to make it more user-friendly. Plus, we've made some exciting improvements to the Inline Design Elements in our text editor.

Accessing the text editor in Live Mode is now a breeze, and making changes to your text - whether it's formatting, adjusting font styles, or other customizations - is more intuitive than ever.

Remember how tricky Inline Design Elements used to be? Well, we've completely transformed the experience with easy-to-use buttons and straightforward fields. Now you can build your intranets and add text without breaking a sweat - how cool is that?

Global Scripts and Styles Activation

Here's an exciting update in 2024 that deserves the spotlight - we've made it super easy to manage your SharePoint customizations! With our new Global Scripts and Styles feature, you can run scripts or apply stylesheets across your entire SharePoint tenant from one central location.

Want to know what makes this feature really cool? You can instantly roll out UI changes or code fixes across your entire tenant - yep, that's right, no matter how many site collections and sites you're working with! It's super handy when our support team gives you code to fix something. And if you're one of our power users, you'll love how easy it is to customize and manage multiple sites from one convenient spot.
